District Apostle Leonard Kolb (USA) ventures a look into the future. He speaks of the divine destiny that awaits Christians in the eternal future after life on earth. But the preparation for it takes place already today.

“Fellowship of life with Christ” is the overarching theme of the Sunday services in February. And that means more than just leaving a little room in our lives for Jesus and His gospel. Fellowship with Christ fills our whole life—today and in future.

A divine service brings light into the darkness: Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider brought a festive glow to the congregation of Saxonsea in South Africa shortly before Christmas by preaching about the light of Jesus Christ.

Helping others boosts our own well-being. This is shown by the people highlighted in 2022. Whether on the Mediterranean Sea, on their own doorstep, or in other parts of the world: La Grah, Elena, Laura, and Peter have each done remarkable things with the power of their faith.

The year 2022 will go down into the New Apostolic history books. For the very first time, the Church has provided a doctrinal answer to a 160-year-old question. And the resulting decision will begin to take effect in the year 2023—when women will also be given the opportunity to be ordained into ministry.

The new church year has commenced and will be ushered in with concerts and celebrations around the world. Whether virtually or live and in person—our brothers and sisters have already begun celebrating the feast of love for their neighbour.

The new man has already demonstrated leadership qualities: both in the Church and in his working life. He also has pastoral qualities. This is what companions say. They are convinced: the New Apostolic Church Western Germany can look forward to its District Apostle Helper.

One hundred years ago today, Apostle Sadrach is believed to have retired. This is not verified information though. What we do know is that the Europeans at the time were a little suspicious of the Javanese Apostle, and today we cannot say with certainty whether he held divine services until shortly before his death in 1924 or retired on 5 December 1922.

At Christmas, Christians look back and celebrate the birth of their Saviour, Jesus Christ. But they also look ahead, full of hope in the return of Jesus. But the significance of Jesus’ birth can also be experienced in the present.

Clear words, strong action… In line with this motto, the New Apostolic Church is continuing its fight against sexual misconduct. This was also evident at the meetings of the District Apostles this past week.

Acknowledging, remembering, and appreciating the value: this is how gratitude works. And that is the answer to a question that is thousands of years old: “What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me?” (Psalm 116: 12)

In the month of November, the old church year comes to an end and a new one begins. The divine services this month will focus on our hope in Christ’s return and try to give a small glimpse of the glory of God.
