Even after the International Church Convention in Munich, which was the highlight for many, there were a lot of other happenings in the New Apostolic Church worldwide. Some of the important and interesting highlights from the second half of the year were as follows.

We still carry last year’s motto in our hearts. But what else happened throughout the New Apostolic world in 2014? Following is a look at the happenings around the world in the first half of 2014.

“He is New Apostolic with all his heart,” a friend and companion says about Apostle João Uanuque Misselo. On 22 February, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider will commission Him as a District Apostle Helper for Angola. This is an opportunity to look at his life and the country he lives in.

He was the father figure of the still young family of faith: 110 years ago to the day, Friedrich Krebs died. Even though he is considered the first Chief Apostle of the New Apostolic Church, the official title of Chief Apostle only started to be used later.

Some 70,000 people have been left homeless as a result of flash-floods, a District Apostle visits a Sunday School class, an Apostle retires, and members in northern Germany are happy about the demolition of an old fire station.

“At home worldwide” is the motto set out in the logo of nac.today. This will also be the title of our weekly overview, in which we will look at the happenings among our brothers and sisters around the world.

Comfort and solace was offered in a recent concert by the Wilhelmshaven Chamber Choir. It was given in memory of the tsunami in South-East Asia ten years ago. How did those affected by the tsunami, either directly or as helpers, experience the disaster? Following are some personal accounts.

Zurich. The composition of the Coordination Group (CG) of the New Apostolic Church has changed. District Apostle Rüdiger Krause (NA Northern Germany) and District Apostle Rainer Storck (NAC North Rhine-Westphalia) are the newest members in this important body.

Kinshasa/Zurich. On Sunday, 26 October 2014 Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider ordained seven new Apostles and four new Bishops for the District Church of Congo-West.

Gifhorn/Zurich. The New Apostolic Church in Central Germany and Northern Germany will grow into a new District Apostle district in 2016. This was the news that the incumbent Central German District Apostle Wilfried Klingler shared with the congregation of Gifhorn, from where last Sunday’s Thanksgiving service was transmitted throughout the entire District Apostle district by satellite.

Buenos Aires/Zurich. Over the first weekend in October, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider visited the New Apostolic congregations in Argentina. Apostle Enrique Minio was appointed the new District Apostle Helper for the District Apostle district.

"The Christian faith is intended to be shared with others" (from the introduction to the Catechism of the New Apostolic Church). - When and what do you confess", that was the introduction to the workshop, which the Apostle Wilhelm Hoyer and Dieter Prause moderated at the ICC 2014. nacworld spoke to the Apostle Hoyer afterwards.

The retired District Apostle Klaus Sauer has passed away, suddenly and unexpectedly, on Tuesday, 29th July 2014 at the age of 74, as the district church of South Germany informs us on their website:

Zurich/Nairobi. The international leader of the New Apostolic Church, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider spent the last weekend of June in Kenya. This was the first time that he had ever come to the country as Chief Apostle. Hundreds of thousands of members had long been looking forward to this visit.

Munich/Zurich. “Let love—mutual love—prevail!” This was the appeal given by international Church leader Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider at the International Church Convention of the New Apostolic Church in Munich. Beforehand, he took the time to address some “hot topics” at a panel discussion at the fully occupied Olympia Hall.
