The registration period for the International Youth Convention in the coming year has finally started. About 30,000 young people are expected at the exhibition grounds in the city of Düsseldorf (Germany). They will come from many countries to celebrate together for four days.

Learning together and from one another: we make better progress when we work together, even when this involves acquiring new knowledge or abilities. This is an experience that is common to musicians, teachers, South Americans, Central Europeans, or West Africans.

For the young people—who are in the process of graduating, starting their first jobs, or moving in with their first roommate—this is still a long time. But for the organisers, who are doing their best to plan an event that is to thrill some 30,000 participants, time is short.

Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider’s 29th trip abroad this year will take him to north-eastern Europe. This coming weekend, more than 3,000 brothers and sisters in Lithuania and Latvia are looking forward to his visit.

It is one of the oldest congregations within the New Apostolic Church. Barely five years after the international Church celebrated its 150th anniversary, this honour now also goes to two congregations in Bielefeld (Germany): Bielefeld and Quelle.

What would the Church be without its youth? A church without a future! The Chief Apostle and District Apostles repeatedly emphasise the importance of our offers to young people. But what does this mean in concrete terms? What offers are these?

The Apostle ministry holds special status In New Apostolic doctrine. Apostolic thinking really only began to take hold on 14 July 1835, when the number of twelve Apostles was complete in the ranks of the Catholic Apostolic Church. And it has endured to this day. This must be evident in congregational life.

In the first six months of 2018, nine Apostles were ordained by Chief Apostle Schneider. He also assigned a District Apostle Helper and appointed a District Apostle. Seven Apostles were retired.
